We are also responsible for the application of Lembaga Tabung Haji’s various trade marks both in local and international market. Recently, we are entrusted to manage Lembaga Tabung Haji’s application of trade marks in various foreign countries in support of Lembaga Tabung Haji’s business expansion and effort to be recognised internationally. For this assignment, we have established a network with overseas IP agents.

We have been advising Les’ Copaque Production Sdn Bhd (for their well-known ‘UPIN & IPIN’ brand) from year 2009 and together with them we developed a structured and customised IP commercial arrangements and documentations with the third party including but not limited to the licensing, broadcasting, publishing, software/digital contents development and merchandise agreements. We ensure that the commercialisation of Upin & Ipin’s IP Rights is optimised and well-taken care of both in local and international markets.

We have stepped further by collaborating with the relevant Ministry and Authority particularly the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-Operatives & Consumerism in our joint collaboration of ‘Anti-Counterfeit Programs’ whereby we assist the Authority to conduct a joint raid and successfully confiscated counterfeit products (which infringed our clients’ Intellectual Property Rights.) In this program, we have actively represented Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (‘PERODUA’) and the leading animation company Les’ Copaque Production Sdn Bhd. Up to date; we managed to recover a large sum of monetary compensation for our clients. We are also the panel solicitors for University Sultan Zainal Abidin, Terengganu (UniSZA) and Dewan Perniagaan Islam Malaysia (DPIM), whereby we are in the midst of structuring their IPRs rights for commercialization purposes.
